Serbia is the 18th in the world, with two victories, a draw and four defeats. Good practitioners in Serbian handball would agree that this is the current reality.
Veselin Vujovic agreed with this and spoke without delay about the impression that the Eagles left on the last planetary view:
– If we look only at the facts, we are disastrous, we have not won any European team, we lost to Argentina and Brazil, we made up with Bahrain and Korea, we did not go into the second round. These are facts, but the impression was not so bad. There was a game, for example with the French almost half with the Germans, where they worked quite well, correctly, in the second half of the decline in concentration and lack of experience and quality would lead to the final result – says the coach of Nis Railway.
Vujovic draws attention, however, to one fact:
– In the cycle that started Nenad Perunicic, the results we achieved in the two qualifying matches for the European Championship, with Belgium and Switzerland, showed that Serbian handball is far from serious at this time.
Nenad Perunicic, however, on the eve of the road to Berlin, quite courageously, having in mind all the circumstances, stressed that all the non-proliferation in the second round would be a failure?
„I do not know why, knowing that the boys are young and have a lot of debutants,“ he said. Everybody is honored, because if he is able to say something that means he believes and transfers that energy to the players, that’s a good move. But, I do not know exactly what it means when someone says to take full responsibility. This usually means that some steps are taken after that, unless the claim is achieved. Personally, I’m sorry he did not think best when he said it all. He is an emotional and, above all, a proud, young coach and certainly after this championship he knows a lot more and I believe he would give a little more careful statements.
