Hungarian Veszprem was the first to gather at the beginning of the new season 2020/2021, which offers complete uncertainty regarding the holding of the competition in a regular format and according to the established calendar. The ambitious Hungarian champions have started with the usual period in which they will improve their physical fitness and look for form for the coming months. In that part, the main speaker is Marija Lojanica from Belgrade, fitness coach of Veszprem, who commented on the start of the season for the club’s website:
- The boys are much better than last year. We did a great job during the break. I sent them a program of preparations, all but one, they did it right. I am very satisfied with what it looked like now, after all the tests we did. We are much better than at the start of last season. They need to get used to some new movements, which are not so new, but they have not practiced them, considering that there has been no handball training for a long time. I take care of what happens on and off the field. We must avoid injuries through a program of prevention and strengthening. We have to use mobility exercises and sports-specific movements to adapt to handball training. I believe that we will do everything in the best possible way and welcome the season in full force – said Lojanica, who previously worked with coach David Davis in Skopje Vardar.
