In the traditional selection of Handball-Planet.com for the best coach in 2018, the head of the professional staff of the current winner of the EHF Champions League, Montpellier, Patris Canayer was elected.
The spectacular season and the ending of the F4 Tournament of the EHF Champions League in Cologne were kicked off by an experienced specialist, sitting on the bench of the French club since 1994, to the fore.
Canayer left behind Spain’s selectors, Jordi Ribero, Juan Carlos Pastor, Raul Gonzalez and his colleague from Nantes, whom he defeated in the final – Thierry Antia.
