CSM Bucharest defeated Bismrit in the semifinals on Sunday, while in the „thriller“ finals defeated SC Ramnicu Valcea and won the trophy of the CUP. At the end of the spectacular match, experienced coach Dragan Djukic, who managed to win the first trophy with a team from Bucharest, pointed out that after a very difficult season he earned a trophy.
„I hope it was a good finale for all fans of handball. I think we were a better team in the greater part of the game and we deserved a win. Of course, for a quality finale, you need a good opponent, and Valcea was such an opponent, he says. On the other hand, it was the fourth match for our team in seven days, in which we faced many problems and I want to congratulate our girls for the desire they showed for what they put on the field. I think we showed that we can play good handball, despite all the problems and a small number of players we had at our disposal. So I think we deserve a good end of the season, precisely because of what our players did this year. For me, this is the satisfaction of the hard work the expert staff submitted this year, taking into account all the problems we have faced. On the other hand, there is also gratitude for girls who were not with us in Bistrica, but also an important indicator of the potential of this team, which could not be capitalized due to numerous injuries this season. It is also great to know that we had the great support of people who supported us throughout the season, even in difficult times, and I would like to thank them on behalf of the whole team.
