The best coach from the Ex-YU in the 2019/2020 season is Lino Červar! The selector of the Croatian men’s national team received the most votes from the participants in the Balkan-Handball.com pollof the jury, but also a confirmation from Veselin Vujović that he had no rival in the season that ended prematurely due to the corona virus pandemic.
Experienced Cervar returned to the podium with the Croatian national team. He won a silver medal at the 2020 European Championships in Stockholm.
This is the second time that Cervar has received the award for coach of the year since 2013. Veselin Vujović was the three-time laureate.
