Eurofarm Pelister suffered a heavy defeat on this season’s Euro debut, considering that it led with 29:27 three minutes before the end of the visit to Goodme. The Danish team finished the series 3-0, mostly thanks to goalkeeper Hagen, and won the first points in Group D of the Europa League EHF.
As expected, the defeat did not fall easily to the strategist of the team from Bitola, Željko Babić, but it is clear to everyone who watched the match that the Croat has something to be satisfied with when it comes to the game.
– I am sad, but at the same time very proud of my team’s brave game. They were very strong in defense and coped well in awkward situations. A huge dose of concentration is needed to play at such a level for all 60 minutes. We had a chance for a draw, but their goalkeeper stopped us. I am satisfied with the performance, considering that this is our first official match after an eight-month break. I have to praise our other goalkeeper Trajkovski, who defended brilliantly. I hope that it will be better in the next matches – Babic said after the defeat in Denmark.
