Young coach Goran Kuzmanoski had his winning coaching debut with his team Prilep after they beat host Struga in the first match of the handball tournament in Struga. However, the former member of the Macedonian national team does not hide that he expects significantly better performances from his handball players.
- Of course, I am satisfied with the victory, but in a qualitative sense, I can say that both teams lost. I understand that a long period has passed without training and handball, but we have to improve the game in the coming period. Our players are new and young, and they will need time to relax and play, but everyone must be ready to play. That is why we have accepted participation in the tournament in Struga and we will try to use the most chances in the matches we will play here, said Kuzmanoski.
At the same time, he is looking forward to the challenge of leading the team in the Super League.
- This year, the league is of very high quality. The group in which Prilep is is heavier than the other, but there are no easy or difficult opponents in sports. We are preparing well, we are working to the maximum in training and I think we will be able to achieve the club’s goals for the next season. I am also satisfied with the fact that teams from all over Macedonia are playing in the Super League this year. Not everything is stationed only in Skopje, we will travel to Bogdance and play in cities where there has been no elite handball for years, said the coach from Prilep.
