Completion of the calendar year is usually an opportunity to keep track of results and achievements. The men’s team in Radnicki 1964 has its best year in the short history of the club. The previous championship, where the team took the fourth place, was used to gain experience in the federal ranking of the competition, while on the summer break, the team and the expert staff set the highest goals. The best-known for the achievement is the strategist of Kragujevac Aleksandar Radosavljevic.
This year, you rated the previous season as successful, how do you assess the current course of the championship?
– I am very pleased with the performances made so far by my guys. We play a quick and attractive handball with an emphasis on aggressive defense. We have made it clear, it remains unfortunate because of the lost point in the match with Dubocica, primarily because of the drop in concentration in the match. Expectedly, two teams have been set aside among which one should look for a future super-league, and I hope that Radnicki will be the one who will be promoted to the best club at the end of the season.
You are known as a coach who gives a chance to young players. How far have they progressed this fall?
– Progress has been observed among young players and it is certainly their impact great on our game to be more content, more versatile and more effective. As time passes, their effect will be better, because it takes time to learn new knowledge.
Do you plan on reinforcements or does the team remain in this league until the end of the championship?
– I plan to keep the team in the same squad by the end of the season. The players who boosted us this summer fit into our game style, the training regimen, and it took them some time to adopt new methods of work because they came from different environments where it worked differently.
This means that the recognizable style of the game will remain the same?
– Radical continues in the same style and I hope to play even faster and more attractive with our trademark, firm and aggressive defense, which we will further improve and strive to bring to perfection.
The Radnicki fans expect the good news for the spring?
– Exactly. I expect to continue with good games, progress in all segments, because as a team we have plenty of room for further development. Therefore, our desire is to keep our leadership position and achieve our goal – entering the Super League.
Radnicki 1964 is the only undefeated team of Super B league, East-West group at the end of the autumn part of the season and holds a leading position with 2 points advantage over the closest competitor. The championship is scheduled for the last week of February next year.
