It’s a good time to make coaches with children working with children and see if everything is as planned before the camp starts. We talked with Zikica Milosavljevic and Vladan Jordovic, coordinator of the camp’s work.
– The project is very interesting, the first of its kind in Europe. We can say that this is a pilot project from which the Univerexport Foundation is located and for the first time it is quite good. We who are working here, solve all the unforeseen situations while walking and make notes that in the coming years we will know where we were wrong and how to prevent some things that are normal to happen in dealing with children. For now, we have no complaints about the organization or the work of children „, said Zikica Milosavljevic, one of the trainers and camp Bogdan Rodic.
What is almost unusual in handball work is the fact that among us, coaches, there are no suits. Daily programs are designed to give the trainer full freedom of work, you can prepare your own training and, if necessary, get the help of an older and experienced colleague, or give assistance to some of your colleagues in some detail. There are work topics that we have received in advance before the start of work and which can be prepared in the best way, each to the extent that he thinks the topic deserves attention.
Children work well and absorb everything they show.
– It seems to me that a good proportion of children came with a small dose of fear, they were not sure how the camp would look. Now, as they have met us, and at the same time we have them, I must say that every day, even from training in training, it looks much better on the ground. My opinion is that the camp must be represented by individual work and work on group tactics, that is precisely what children are most lacking in working in clubs. For work that is based on individual situations, technical-tactical concepts and realization of their movements, trainers have very little time to consecrate them, and this is the principle that is applied in methodical work in younger categories. Therefore, I insist that such work on the camp be as much as possible – Milosavljevic told us.
– I am pleased that cooperation among trainers, serious people and people who have been achieved in the areas where they work, works. Everyone has his own tasks as well as an initiative in and work and in presenting some ideas, views and attitudes related to the given topics. We came here to give the children all the knowledge and energy that we have available, having in mind the nature of this camp, that it is the invitation behind which is the Univerexport Foundation, these children are privileged. Privileged by the conditions in which they work, material things, do not lack props. Balls, they’re all nicely dressed. So, we have everything that a modern training process requires, and this also applies to the expert staff who will transfer all the knowledge at their disposal, „- said Vlado Jordovic.
Progress in children is evident.
– I, as a former goalkeeper, devote a little more time to the goalkeepers on the camp but this conclusion applies to all who are present at Zlatar, the children are very dedicated and concentrated on what we do and it gives results. They are eager for knowledge, they have a certain quality, and we are here to record the current situation, eliminate defects and upgrade what they have brought to the camp. First of all, here we are dealing with technical elements and what we succeed, in the short time, we correct. However, for some things it takes more time and in this case we give the children information on how to fix it. Talent was and will be, Serbia is an inexhaustible source of talented children, we need to nurture and pay attention to them so that they can develop their potential. They have their own infrastructure and operating conditions, sufficient number of appointments and adequate equipment, but also people who will give them full attention and transfer knowledge. – the conclusion is Vladan Jordović.
All that Milosavljevic and Jordovic talked to at the Bogdan Rodic campsite have children at their disposal, and more than that. Namely, the other part of the camp will be dedicated to the testing, expert teams from the Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine will arrive at Zlatar and will perform in the next period of testing of children, after which the complete profile of each campsite will be made.
