The players will have a big responsibility because they are expected to defend the crown won last season. However, this final tournament comes at a time when the players are at the beginning of the preparations and everyone is still far from the desired form, Vardar coach Stevce Alushevski pointed out.
- This is a special F4 because it is played at the beginning of the season. They are usually played at the end. We have created a new team in which we have as many as nine new handball players. I am completely satisfied with the composition. With a lot of luck, we are here for the ninth time after a tough duel with Nexe. I expect us to be as real as Vardar has always been. To give the maximum and play the best we can and if possible to win the tournament, said Alushevski at the press conference.
Alushevski reiterated that they were very lucky and that God was with them in the duel against Nexe on Saturday.
- To be honest, God looked at us and brought us happiness. Still, happiness is deserved. The guys work fantastically in training. We have nine new players in the team. There are a lot of quality players and great fighters like Dibirov, Stoilov … not to mention all of them. It is our job to work and play well in both the Champions League and the SEHA League. I hope we will be much better here than in the duel against Nexe last Saturday in Skopje.
