Kumanovo remained the only Macedonian women’s team in the European Cups. Kumanovo traveled to Ukraine, where they will play two matches from the third round of the EHF Cup against the champion team from Galicia in Lviv. The coach of the Macedonian team, Nenad Kraljevski, says that it will not be too much of a problem that both games are played away.
Certainly, the long journey will affect the physical condition of the handball players, but we will be one day before the first duel in Lviv and we will have more than 24 hours to adjust. It is difficult to maintain sports form in such difficult conditions when it comes to handball. In the previous two weeks, we tried to raise the level of psychophysical readiness and the level of technical-tactical game when it comes to matches with the Ukrainians, Istice Kraljevski.
The Ukrainian champion has been sufficiently analyzed and coach Kumanova believes that his team, although they will play twice on the visiting field, will emerge as the winner in the duel.
They have a certain quality, but we believe in their work and I am sure that the girls will do their best to achieve the desired result. The key will be in the defense, which must be disciplined and aggressive, both in depth and breadth, the number of technical errors should be minimized. In two such matches played in three days, every mistake will be costly. Our advantage is a wider selection of quality handball players who can answer tasks, concludes Kraljevski.
The first duel between Galičanka and Kumanovo will be played tomorrow at 18:00, while the return match on Sunday at 11:00
