To say that the Croatian national team coach, Zeljko Babic, was happy after winning the first medals during his tenure. The team which gave few chances to be able to do the podium, eventually came to bronze in the match with Norway 31:24 and so left Croatia at the top-level folder selection:
– I congratulate the Norwegian team and coach. He did a great job and will be soon ready to win a medal. I am very happy for the victory. This is sport. I can not talk much, I am very happy and tired. Thank you for your patience. This is a very important thing for trust between me and the players. It was ugly in the second half, slipped insecurity, a typical pad, I called a time-out – Babic said, adding:
– I am pleased with a medal. It’s a job today are good, the next day you’re bad. It is a special feeling, but it is a special and stress. Who wants to be a selector, but it’s nice and not to be. It’s nice to live a nice i die – said Croatian national coach, who after the victory ran into the stands to hug godfather Vedrana Ćurka.
Asked where he will spend the first days after arrival in Croatia, Babic had an interesting answer:
– I’m going to a place above your house where there is a chapel where I spend a lot of time, I plan now, and then I’ll Medjugorje, as I always do.
