We do not count on points, we want to make progress

Macedonia’s first opponent at the 26th World Championship is the selection of Japan, one of the biggest outsiders in this competition. The most convincing name in the Asian team is the selector Dagur Sigurdson, who is aware that his boys have no chance in the fight against any European selection, even with Macedonia.

– We fully understand that we are one of the weakest teams in our group, because we are in the race for the best result in the society of Spain, Croatia, Iceland and Macedonia, and also from Bahrain lost last year. First and foremost, it is our goal to try to make progress in relation to the results of the last World Cup – it is a real reputable expert.

At the last Mondial in France, Japan took the 22nd place without winning a point in the group stage of the competition, but then played against France, Norway, Brazil, Poland and Russia. The main goal of this selection is a better game than the previous SP.

-I think that we are on the right track because we are investing really large amounts of effort in strengthening this frame since I took it. Japan has often happened to achieve a completely solid performance, but due to a few bad minutes it is completely decayed. Fortunately, I would say that we have made a couple of steps forward in reducing these oscillations during the games, and that we will be able to do it, “Sigurdson said.

The match between Macedonia and Japan on the program is on Friday at 15.30
