Montenegro national team coach Dragan Djukic defended master work at the University of Sports Union Union – Nikola Tesla University in Belgrade.
For master work on the topic „Morphological characteristics of handball players at the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016“ Djukic received an evaluation of ten of the members of the commission made by prof. dr Ivanka Gajić, doc dr Nemanja Ćopić and doc. Dr. Dragan Atanasov.
– The research has confirmed that significant impacts on performance in hand have always had the basic anthropometric parameters, continues as a tendency even today. But, more importantly, these parameters must be tracked within only one Olympic cycle. It also confirmed the significant impact of the correlation between success and good team selection whose requirements can be replaced only by the amount of international experience imposed as another important factor for performance in handball. All these factors taken together represent a confirmation of good selection, long-term planning and a strong quality indicator – he pointed out as a conclusion in his master work Dragan Đukić and commented on the work of the Faculty.
– For years I have been here as an associate and what I can say is that the Faculty of Sports in New Belgrade has always been able to recognize problems in sports, including handball, and to publicly talk about them and to try to provide guidelines for solving these problems and some other thinking – concluded Djukic.
The Faculty of Sport of the University „Union – Nikola Tesla“, as a higher education institution, was a partner of Balkan-Handball.com, in the project of organizing the tribune „Handball and media“ on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the work of our portal
