Serbian team began preparations for the European Championship in Poland, gathering in the hotel and in Belgrade. Dejan Peric began the first phase of preparation which will be completed match with Romania on 29 December from 20 o’clock in Belgrade.
– Preparations begin today, and will be held in two phases. The first phase of 23 12 to 31.12. in Belgrade and from 1.01. – 13.01. in Novi Sad. During this period the planned three matches, the first at the „Day Serbian handball“, on December 29, with the national team of Romania of 20 hours in Banjica and two games against selection of Hungary, on 9 January in Senta and 10 January in Kecskemet. With regard to the first part of the league competitions of our team members at the end of the players will be subsequently connected. Some end up these days, as players who play in the German national team will join before the match with Romania. Players who are in Qatar will join us only in Novi Sad. We will try with that in this period, with three extra players Nemanja Beloša, Philip Marijanovića and Dejan Milosavljevic, that this first period for the use of physical and tatičke preparation. I expect that players get healthy, to come to what I have no doubt, with a great desire and motive of this great competition. I think a quality game and attitude we can fulfill the goals – Peric said, adding:
We’ve got a tough group, we did not have a choice. Playing with the owner on such a big competition is the dream of many players. The group is waiting for us and France, the team that is the most successful nation in the history of handball according to the results and trophies that are won. Also there is Macedonia, which has continuity in major competitions. We have a team that is full of motifs and eager to prove and I believe that in all aspects of the game compete with others. It will not be easy, but I believe this team will do everything to avenge the face and achieve goals.
