The final tournament of the Serbian Cup for women is expected for the weekend on May 19-20, 2018 in Sabac. The first semifinal match from 17:00 hours will be Medicinar and Jagodina and from 19:30 Arandjelovac Bekament and Vrbas.
The upcoming matches coaches team expressed their opinion and expectations.
Aleksandar Savić (ŽRK „Medicinar“): We are tempating the form for the Cup. Only Jagodina and Saturday are interested in us, and on Sunday we will come to this. We are the hosts, and in Sabac there is a phenomenal cheerful atmosphere. We hope that we can reach the finals where Bekament team is probably waiting for us.
Dragan Markov (ŽORK „Jagodina“): We expect a difficult and uncertain game, we play before their audience, but we will try to get ready in the best possible way and enter the finals.
Milutin Lucic (ŽRK „Vrbas“): This year’s edition of the final tournament of the Serbian Cup represents the crown of our previous work in this season, as well as the biggest success of our club in its history. Only participation in this tournament, where we will participate together with our country’s multiple champions, multiple Serbian Cup winners and participants in European competitions, is an honor and privilege for all of us. Our philosophy is based on the affirmation of young players, so this tournament will be an invaluable experience for them. We will try to provide our best players in this tournament, and we hope that we will be able to successfully compete with reputable opponents.
Saša Bošković (Bekament B.Banja ŽRK): Bekament Bukovička Banja has an additional obligation to play Serbia Cup at the highest level because it defends the trophy won last season. With the will of the draw, for the opponent we got a team that is by results, current placement and by the rating below us, so Bekament was already sent in advance to the finals. It can be dangerous for us if we do not approach the first, semi-final match in a serious way and do not justify the role of the favorite. We respect each opponent as much as it is enough to not underestimate our possibilities. We want a trophy in the Cup and we will do everything to stay in Arandjelovac in the next year. I hope that we will be healthy first of all in order to have more space in the best possible way to present a concise schedule of the important games ahead.
