At the end of this month, Bilal Schumann is four years old on the bench of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and thus his contract with the local national federation expires. In the most difficult working conditions, the biggest success of the head of the professional staff in the mentioned period is the placement at the European Championship 2020, where the „Dragons“ in a hellish group with France, Norway and Portugal left a solid impression despite the fact that they did not win a point.
After the end of September, ie Schuman’s contract, in accordance with the procedures and rules of RSBiH, it should announce a competition for a selector, to which the current selector will have the right to apply.
However, as Schumann himself pointed out in an interview for sport1.oslobodjenje.ba, it is not certain that he will do that.
– At this point, I can’t say I’m going to sign up. I really don’t want to talk about it now. I have to sit down with the people of the Alliance and look for the answer: where is my money? In four years as a coach, I have not received a single convertible mark. I hope that we will sit down at the same table as soon as possible and try to find a common language – said Schumann.
