The men’s handball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered ahead of the decisive encounters with Switzerland in the qualifications for the 2019 world championship.
The first match will be played on January 10 in St. Petersburg. Gallen, and a newcomer three days later in Tuzla’s Mejdan.
In the sixth qualifying group, the best handball players of BiH played a two-time match with Estonia in late October, in which they avoided half-time success. In Sarajevo they celebrated with 31:24, while in Tallin they were defeated by 29:25.
The selector Bilal Schumann, ahead of the players’ gathering, presented a plan for preparing the national team for the next 15 days.
– We will prepare in Ilidza until December 30th, for New Year players will be free, and on January 3rd, we will be reunited. On January 5 and 6 in Belgrade we will play control friendly matches with Saudi Arabia. We return on January 7, and two days later we travel to Switzerland. The return to BiH is on January 11th, and on January 13 we play a refund in Tuzla – said Schuman.
It is known earlier that Schuman will not be able to count on the brewing of French Nantes Senjamin Burić.
– Burić had a ligament injury, he was surgically last week and will not play in the next six months. We think that instead of him, we call Elmir Citizen, with whom we are in contact. We have already sent a request to the EHF to change the player. I hope that other gamers will come healthy tomorrow.
In the context of the selection of Switzerland, the coach said that he will follow their games in five games, how much they will play until the match with BiH.
– Sweatshirts on January 4th and 7th play a portrait of Estonia, and before that, hosts New Year’s tournament where they will play three more matches. We will have the opportunity to analyze these games and get a much clearer picture of their game. The team is led by the excellent Andy Schmid, who plays in the German Rhein-Neckar Löwen. It is currently one of the best mid-size beams in Europe. We without any calculations enter these two encounters, if we want to think about the barrage, we have to go to two victories – concluded Schumann.
