Serbian expert Vladan Matic has been living and working in Hungary for years. The coach is Tatabanya, who, along with Veszprem and PICK Szeged, is the best team in Hungary and a regular participant in the EHF CUP. Preparations have begun and Tatabanja released a lot of players, but also brought reinforcements and thus formed a team for the next season. In a conversation with the Hungarian media, Vladan Matić emphasized his opinion on reinforcements.
What are your first impressions of the new goalkeepers?
Wyszomirski need not be particularly represented. He is a player at the level of the Champions League who plays an important role not only on the field, but also in the locker room. Michael Konecny, on the other hand, was taken due to Bartucz Lazio’s injury, he still has a lot to learn, but he has very good potential. They both love to work, but honestly Piotr looks like the number one goalkeeper.
How satisfied are you with the other arrivals?
So far we have received more from the team than we expected, plus the guys are very good company off the field. My situation is much easier than before, because I don’t have to bother to speak Hungarian once, English second, Serbian third. For now, it doesn’t look like thirteen players have left us and nine have come, which is positive for the future.
Are there any positions you are missing?
Not really. Moreover, I finally managed to create two lineups in which, in addition to young people, I can also include experienced players. I just want to avoid injuries in the new season and return our lives to the old wheel as soon as possible, concluded Vladan Matić
