At the election Assembly of the Association of Coaches of the Croatian Handball Federation, the selection of the Croatian men’s senior handball team, Lino Červar, was elected as the new president with a four-year mandate.
President of UT HRS, Mate Matijević, for the period from 2014 to 2018, it was emphasized that through 15 sessions and numerous actions was done very much:
– Croatia last year received a recognition from EHF for the most massive and the highest quality coaching seminar in the history then the organization, at this moment Croatia has 35 trainers with EHF PRO license. It is necessary to work in the next period on dignity and protection of trainers, as well as better cooperation between HRS and clubs.
Croatian coaching profession needs to be reactivated and restored to her respect. Especially for coaches in small towns that have been working with young players for many years. These trainers should get improved financial conditions, that is, we all need to find a way to further educate them. Handball as a sport is a collective and indivisible part of development, education and culture. It is very important that we raise the quality and masculinity of men’s and women’s handballs through a more contemporary development strategy. Also, it is important to achieve cooperation at all levels, from trainers of national selections, club trainers, regional coordinators, camp managers, coaching seminars, to cooperation with the Kinesiological Faculties in Zagreb and Split, respectively with the Croatian Olympic Committee and the Central State Sports Office , said Lidija Bojic-Ćacic, the new president of the Association of Coaches, Lino Cervar.
