In eight matches, handball players of Lokomotiv, the current champions of Republika Srpska achieved four victories and the same number of defeats, and they also have one last match on their home ground against Banja Luka Borac. For now, Brčaca are in a safe zone and are slowly moving towards their goal – surviving in the elite.
– This is a quiet arc so far, the team is young, the form is variable and in those years it’s normal to behave like that. Our goal is survival and it goes according to the plan, and we will see further. Monthly, quarterly and semi-annual plans are monitored. Six hundred percent points is something that’s completely ok and everything is so real. My impression is that the team will play better in the second part of the season, and only need to win the matches in which we are favorites, says Zikica Milosavljevic, coach of popular locos.
In the last two matches Lokomotiva was defeated by Maglaj with 27:28, and won Konjuh with 32:30.
– I have to say first that the defeats we experienced with a big difference, the last in Doboj from 20 differences, are the result of inexperience. For them, these are all new, they sometimes come together, sometimes they do not, and when they do not, it’s catastrophic. Those opponents that we have lost with a lot of difference (Sloga Doboj, Vogosca and Gracanica) are teams from the upper part of the table, so that’s not so terrible. It’s the most important thing for us to win the teams from our ranking. We won Konjuh in one difficult game, in which we expected to win, because we had a good foresight in Maglaj. We raised the level of the form, we accidentally lost in Maglaj, but we managed against Konjuh to get it out. We played the entire match, Konjuh was behind us, but we endured, says Milosavljevic.
Within the Cup of BiH, Lokomotiva will receive the Sloga team from Doboj tomorrow in the first match.
– We have some agreement, we will try to play as best as possible, but if we do not go on, it’s not the end of the world. We do not have much ambition, because the schedule is thicker anyway. This young team needs training rather than matches. We will try to win, to play the best we know, and our second goal is to try to create a better form for the league, concluded Milosavljević
