„The New Generation“ of Serbian coaches led by an experienced Petkovic run to the title!

The fight for the title in the Serbian championship started. Two rounds were played, where Dinamo from Pancevo and  Zeleznicar from Nis showed two victories at the beginning of the play off.

What is most interesting is that out of five teams, there are trainers of the „new generation“ of Serbian experts who lead the best Serbian clubs.

The most experienced is Josip Petkovic, who for the second time leads Zeleznicar from Nis, and after winning the CUP, he also wants the title of the champions of Serbia. Certainly the quality of the team and its experience is on his side, but what’s new in Serbian handball and some new energy for younger colleagues.

Ivan Petkovic has so far shown that  can seriously count on him whether his team plays at an excellent level, which they showed in the last few games in the SEHA league, and in the first two rounds of play off they recorded victories against Metaloplastika and Vojvodina.

Nenad Perunicic leads his Red Star which was last year’s winner of the CUP. Potential to play fast and beautiful handball with a lot of running. In the first round they shared points with Vojvodina and in the other they were defeated on the field from the more experience Zeleznicar.

Nenad Maksic with Partizan finished second in the leagues part of the competition and thus the goal was achieved in the play off but an ambitious coach always wants more and it remains to be seen whether he can get involved in the race for the first two places leading to the SEHA league next season, although they were initially recorded two defeats away from Zeleznicar and Metaloplastika.

Metaloplastika bring Vladan Jordovic to establish a system of work at all levels in the club and to remain in the top of the Serbian handball during the next period. Jordovic has already proved himself in Serbian handball when he led Jugovic from Kac when they played one of the most beautiful handballs and many players went through this system of work and the same players play throughout Europe. Metaloplastika  were defeated in the first round in Pancevo, while Partizan won the second.

And for the end not the most dreadful but most interesting yet is his time will come, the youngest coach in the play off Boris Rojevic leads the Vojvodina that defends the trophy since last season. Vojvodina has a lot of problems this season, they have changed three coaches and eventually decided for Rojevic who proved himself in the work with young and has great ambitions. In the first round they shared points with Red Star and in the other they were defeated by Dinamo in Pancevo. As the young expert promised, his players are fighting in the field and it remains to be seen how much they can until the end of the season.
