Croatian duo leads Australia!

Australian handball team took part in the Asian Championship in Seoul in January 2018, where three defeats and two wins were recorded, and the first win over the big rival India. The staff is composed of two Croatian experts, Ante Jelicic and Ante Plazibat.

A combination of youth and experience, sometimes a player and trainer, today’s colleagues and great friends. In a short time, Croatian experts met a common goal, accepted the challenge and bought the Alliance’s trust in the future. The next action is planned somewhere in Europe, and they hope to be their beloved Dalmatia.

– Working in Australia is a big challenge, pondering to me that I am still young. I am pleased that my former coach Plazibat joined in this challenge bravely and without reserve. When I left Split for one season from Split, I played a lot of Plazibat’s Dragovoljac from Plazibat, because Plazibat was strict but always fair and fast, and he knew how to transfer knowledge to the level that the player needs, especially young. I think that this is the greatest characteristic of the trainer, to drop down and recognize how to hand in hand in an easy way, and again to get the maximum. Prica Plazibata and me from the long-term concrete reached Australia and Korea, and hopefully a successful follow-up, said young Ante Jelicic.

An experienced expert, Ante Plazibat,

– It is a great honor and pleasure for me to accept the invitation of my former player, Ante Jeličić, to be his assistant advisor and mentor in coaching the Australian team and helping to get the Australian handball as high as possible. At the same time, for me, this was a good experience to prepare a team for the tournaments system in the short run. I hope that we have justified our expectations and that we will cooperate in the future.
