Serbian National Team since last Friday are in Nis, where in the hall „Cair“ preparing for the first match in qualifying for the European Championship in Croatia. After two victories against Romanians in May, the best Serbian handball players have a clear situation regarding the placement of the next big competition. Victory over Poland (Wednesday, 20:45) brings a placement, with a victory over Romania Belarus, and first place in the group, which would mean a draw against group for continental competition.
Selector Jovica Cvetkovic and his coaching staff troubling series of cancellation due to injury, but it does not affect the atmosphere in the national team:
– We’re in good mood, regardless of the big problems we have with injuries. Of the 28 players we had on the list, I do not know if I will succeed to form a composition of 16 for the game against Poland. End of the season has brought all of this. Most of us hit to the players who are already in a system, such as Sesum and Vujina, are unable to help us because of injuries. The bigger problem is Šešum, which is the only playmaker with Petra Nenadića. There are now looking for an alternative solution. We invited all 28 players, which was unusual at first, but it helped us, because we know that we will meet with such problems.
