Serbian national team was defeated by the response of Hungary in the first match of qualifying for the World Cup in France. Serbia coach Dejan Peric was optimistic for the second match in Veszprem.
– Hungarians Congratulations on this well deserved victory, a Sabate on good preparation. We knew it would be difficult and that Hungary takes an experienced team which plays in the result. The beginning was a negative for us. We built the game from the defense, and there we missed the final whistle for a foul or defending goalkeeper to give us pulse. And when we managed to defend ourselves, we made a lot of mistakes in the transfer of the ball. Hungarians in the first part of the play tight and aggressive on defense, and that is with the keeper, brought peace to their attack. They deserve to lead eight goals in the 36th minute. We showed throughout the match morale and desire for results. My team did not fall apart in such a convincing lead. In the short time we managed to reverse a safer attacks stemming from a more aggressive defense. This is the only way for each team that wants a good result.
