The Management Board of the Handball Association of Serbia has unanimously appointed selectors men’s and women’s senior national team. Top Serbian handball will lead Jovica Cvetkovic, with which the “Eagles” began the qualifying cycle for the European Championship in Croatia, which is scheduled for January 2018, while the selector lady instead Dragice Djuric, who was relieved of duty, will be Mr. Ljubomir Obradovic.
Jovica Cvetkovic (57), the first is the national team of Serbia, led in the period from 2006 to 2009. With him on the bench, Serbian handball team won the eighth place at the World Championship in Croatia in 2009. In a coaching career he won the championship with Red Star, Macedonian Metalurg and Borac Banja Luka.
Mr. Ljubomir Obradovic (62) is one of the biggest coaching success made the junior team of Yugoslavia won the gold medal at the European Championships in 2000. He won the championship with Red Star and Vardar Macedonia, after a series of six championship titles at the Portuguese bench Porta, he performed the function of National team of Montenegro with whom qualified for the European Championship in Poland in 2016.
Other candidates for the selectors were Nedeljko Vuckovic (men), Radan Rovčanin, Nenad Royal Sandor Rac, Caslav Dinčić and Bratislav Obućina (women).
